Let's Start With Caring
We are all people
We are all different
Who are we without other people to fill our lives ?
There are times that we don"t always get along
Then we get angry at the same people
That make our life wonderful
How quickly we forget
I think it's time
To bring back the same emotions
Understanding how great it was when we first met
Sharing the same views
Laughing and looking forward to spending more time together
Even if we have differences
They are so small we are able to over look
Each day becomes exciting and interesting
When was the last time you really thought
How does my friend, co worker, neighbor feel
The really sad part is
The people who have the greatest influence in our life
We push the farthest away
I am talking about our family
Our own parents and brothers and sisters
It is easier to forget
Than pick up phone and call
It's too much trouble to carry on
Yet it's to hard to let go
The past and the problems that developed
May never be forgotten
We can start fresh
Put the past on a deep freeze
Try to do little things that bring back the joy
Another time you may be able to discuss
Issues that got out of hand
For now I can't and won't touch it with a ten foot pole
It's to fresh
To emotional
I am not ready to handle it
By waiting time will put distance
For now I sit and write
The reasons I felt this way
Then I put it in an envelope
Mark on the outside of the envelope
Only for me
If I could change anything in my life
I wish this never had happened
But it did and I am adult and this is how I deal with it
I am on with my day
Talking to people
Who make my life incredible
So what's new
Our friendship went on leave
All that is important
I was thinking of you the other day
I'm back
So let's enjoy the time we have
Catching up is fun
Sharing each day is better
